We provide both financial and strategic support to our portfolio companies. We assist with financial growth acceleration and advise on determining your company's priorities. Our in-house teams in Marketing, Human Resources, and Finance can help set up an effective organization. We understand the issues you may encounter and are capable of solving them. We have supported successful companies with multi-billion valuations, such as ePojisteni.cz, FAVI, and Aukro. Our investments range from 10M to 500M CZK, with a target to scale the project to at least ten times its initial size. We are not only strong in acquisition but also in selling companies.

We aim to increase the value of not only our portfolio companies but also our society as a whole. The more successful we are in building companies, the more we can support positive changes in society. Our country is important to us, which is why we annually donate a percentage of the value of our portfolio (CZK 200M in 2022) to chosen NGOs. In addition to financial support, we also contribute our time and experience.

We founded Pale Fire Capital in 2015, and after selling ePojisteni in the summer of 2018, it became our top priority. We have built businesses with valuations over CZK 4 billion from small companies. Our companies, such as UptimeRobot, Rouvy, Zuri, Aukro, and Munipolis, are successfully growing in their home markets as well as internationally.

Dušan Šenkypl, David Holý and Jan Barta - a group of hard-working patriots with vast experience in business - form the core of the Pale Fire. Building, improving, sharing their know-how and investing is what they are passionate about. They provide resources, dedicate time and energy towards enthusiastic, creative and talented people upholding high moral values who are devoted to create a better world through their dedication to hard work, people who are eager to develop themselves and their companies and avoid unnecessary dead ends on their journey, people who want to keep learning and growing, who listen and who want to move their companies forward in order to create better working conditions and a better place for living. Dušan Šenkypl
Dušan Šenkypl specializes in setting up effective organizational structures, sales teams, and product development operations. He has created several global e-commerce and technology projects used by more than 200 million users. He founded ePojisteni.cz and NetBrokers Holding, a dominant fintech player with more than 500 employees, which was acquired by the German media group Bauer Media in 2018. In his free time, he enjoys sports and dedicates a portion of his time to non-profit projects.
Jan Barta
Jan Barta is responsible for finding and analyzing investment opportunities at Pale Fire Capital. In addition to this, he enjoys helping portfolio companies with strategic discussions and evaluating their opportunities and threats. During his studies at University College London, Jan was involved in several internet businesses, using his creativity and strategic insights. He also dedicates a portion of his time to non-profit projects.
David Holý
David Holý creates marketing strategies for portfolio companies. Since 2004, he has been involved in e-commerce product development. He was, for instance, the product manager for AVG Toolbars, with 225 million installations globally. He helped to build ePojisteni, where he served as CMO and Tarifomat CEO for 10 years. He is transforming the marketing strategies of Aukro, as well as the sales and product processes in the global project Munipolis/Mobilní Rozhlas.
Petr Krajíček
His field of expertise is primarily in all accounting and tax aspects, he also takes care of the administration of all companies and transactions. He started to work together with Jan Barta more than 10 years ago in his Elephant Orchestra project and he helped him with many investment projects. He implements financial management and backoffice agendas for several portfolio companies. In his free time, Petr is the principal of a theater group LASO.
Jiří Ponrt
Jirka's main responsibility is managing Pale Fire Capital's finances, supporting financial management in individual companies of the portfolio, and searching for new investment opportunities. Together with the team of CFOs and analysts he is leading, they are dedicated to the financial development of the portfolio, as well as helping companies which are not yet ready to manage their finances on their own. In his spare time he enjoys sports and travelling and last but not least spending time with his family.
We support the non-profit sector
We have long supported non-profit activities that seek to transform areas with a key impact on the quality of life in the Czech Republic. In 2020 alone, we donated more than CZK 50 million to Czech non-profit organizations. Our goal is to increase our support of the non-profit sector to at least CZK 200 million annually by the year 2030.
