In addition to the Miton investment group, Martin Rozhoň and Pale Fire Capital are newly involved in the further development of the community internet marketplace Scuk.cz, acquiring a combined 25% stake in Scuk.

Scuk.cz, which was previously a gastronomic guide, has had its first 8 months of operation as a community farmers’ marketplace. An eightfold increase in sales compared to July was one of the factors that led to last week’s investment. Scuk.com focuses on farm produce and aims to connect local small producers directly with end customers.

“We see in Scuk an opportunity to get quality, local food to people in small towns from even the smallest farmers,” comments Jan Barta on Pale Fire Capital’s entry into Scuk. “The icing on the cake is the immense joy the service brings to its users,” he adds.
